Our neighborhood had an Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon for the kids and it was so much fun! Kelly's friends Brinna and Ella came over to join us and the girls had a blast! Here are some of the highlights...
the girls getting ready for the "hunt"...I use the term "hunt" loosely...every hunt we've ever been to just has all the eggs thrown out on the grass...there isn't a whole lot of "hunting" required!

this was Kelly's reaction to the Easter Bunny's arrival...she was THRILLED! She literally squealed and ran up to him when he got out of the truck...

Checking out her "loot"...at first she didn't get it and wanted to open each egg as she found it to see what treasures were inside...she finally got the idea that you are supposed to gather as many eggs as you can FIRST, then you check out the insides!
The girls with their loot...Kelly "found" the golden egg...there really weren't that many kids around, especially in her age group, and we were the only ones in the area where the golden egg was. Julye (Brinna and Ella's mom) saw the egg and pointed it out the Kelly and she got it...and a cute little stuffed animal as a prize!

Looks like they had fun and it was wonderful weather today for it. I wish that our neighborhood would do it another weekend besides Easter weekend because we never get to go.
