Scott's sister, Lauren, was getting rid of a full sized mattress and we needed one for Kelly when she grew out of her toddler bed, so we took it off their hands...we had planned to just store it in the garage until we needed it, but once we had it inside I asked Kelly if she wanted a big bed instead of her little bed and she said yes...so off we went to buy new sheets and before we knew it we were out of the toddler bed!
She took a great nap in it this afternoon (I did lay down with her for about 3 minutes...it took that long for her to fall asleep once she finally got still!) and then she went down great tonight. We have a headboard and footboard that matches her other furniture (courtesy of my mom) but it is at my parent's house in storage, and with it just on the floor it isn't as high if she were to fall off. We'll probably just leave it this way for a while and then move it onto the frame.
