Kelly Updates and Videos

Today Mrs. Bevil called for our fall parent/teacher conference...hilarious, isn't it? Anyway, she said that Kelly is a real sweet little girl and she loves having her in class. She said she knows all her colors and shapes, even the ones they "aren't supposed to know yet" like oval and octagon. She said Kelly counted to 9 without any mistakes! That was a surprise because usually she counts "1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13". She said that she was impressed that Kelly knew her whole name, not just her first name, and that she can read her name and those of her classmates. Kelly plays well in the classroom and follows directions well. She also said that she was doing great potty training at school and they had few accidents lately. I was surprised by this because I thought she was tee-teeing more at school than at home because she was getting distracted. So, all in all Kelly is doing well in her 2 year old preschool class! :)

Here are some videos of Kelly this evening...she was so whipped up! They apparently sang a song about turkeys today in music class, although I have to believe there were more lines than just "I love turkey"! Oh, and Mammy, Kelly said that Mammy is making her a chocolate pie for Thanksgiving and its going to be yummy...so you may want to add that one to your list of desserts! :)

She also has started "reading" some of her favorite books...she wouldn't let me video her reading, so Scott did it over her shoulder. This is her favorite book, Pinkalicious, and she does a really good job of "reading" it!
