Kelly went back to the splash park on Tuesday with her friend, Nathan. We had a great time, which was good because on Monday we had a bad experience. We pulled up and it was PACKED...there were at least 15 kids and my first instinct was to just keep driving and go home. But, Kelly was excited so I decided to give it a shot. We had to walk around the perimeter together a few times to get our nerve up. There were so many kids running wild and screaming...Kelly was so overwhelmed. She finally got up her courage, got her little cup to go fill with water and started slowly walking out to the water. BAM! A kid running by completely plowed her over and knocked her flat on her back. Needless to say, that was the end of our trip to the splash park that day! She was so scared, refused to go back out there, even with me, so we just went home and played in our own pool and sprinkler. Hopefully, the novelty of the splash park will wear off as the summer goes by so we don't have to fight the crowds to enjoy ourselves!
Kelly and Nathan...doesn't it look like Kelly is doing a coffee grinder? That's such a flash back to the days of tap lessons! Oh, and we're sporting a new hair do...the side braid...doesn't she look cute??? And, it keeps those bangs out of her face! Hooray! :)

I wish we had a splash park...Lex would love to play there when we come.
